Knowing is Connection
August 29 - Sept 4, 2010
"When Kabbalah addresses astrology, it does so not just to help each individual navigate through his or her personal process but also to help each of us have an appreciation and understanding of other people. When you learn Kabbalistic astrology and get to know all 12 signs, you gain insight into what each of us is going through.
By learning about a person’s sign, we experience greater awareness. If your friend is Aries, you know what to expect. It’s your friend’s nature. It’s not about you. So many times we give up on potential positive things in our life because we forget that the other person has a movie also. We may not see the whole movie and where the person was in his or her past lives, but the little snippet we get adds to our ability to connect with people and to being able to have lasting relationships. It’s a beneficial part of the process.
As my father and teacher Rav Berg always says, knowing is the connection.
In order to make a true connection, we need to let go of our layers and get to our real self. That’s a core part of Kabbalah. When we’ve done that, then we have the possibility of having no agenda, unconditionally giving, experiencing true love and trust. All that comes from a deeper place.
Seeing the bigger picture helps too.
Part of understanding Kabbalistic astrology is also knowing the ins and outs of each month, the ups and downs. That’s the tougher part. Spiritual work is always like that; you have to go through a little pain. And some people have to go through more than a little. Rabbi Shimon spent 13 years in a cave revealing the Zohar. You go through a little pain to get ultimate fulfillment.
This month we are going through a little difficulty, but as heavy as this month might be, there is so much more Light that gets revealed next month. By knowing what’s going on, we can pace ourselves and our energy.
This week let’s all try to get to our real self. Once we get there, we can look forward to experiencing what it means to give and receive unconditionally".
All the best,
Yehuda
